The Scottish Smallholder Festival is the leading place where smallholders, small producers, growers and everyone interested in a sustainable way of life join together to share, learn, show, buy and be inspired.

Several basketmakers and willow growers will be demonstrating their skills and experience.

• Simon Cooper aka The Bumbling Basketeer will be demonstrating how to make an oak swill basket.
• Deeside Willow will be demonstrating a number of weaving techniques to make simple crafts and baskets, plus they will be taking people through the lifecycle of growing and making with willow through an interactive talk and demonstration.
