Weave your own oval garden trug from willow on this one day basketmaking workshop. Come and join Malcolm Farrow for a fun day learning to weave an oval basket with a handle and leave with a beautiful creation suitable for all year round use in your home and garden.
I will show you all the techniques I use to make these baskets. All materials and tools supplied. Suitable for all abilities. Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.

Hi, I see so many techniques in this basket that I find it hard to believe that it will be completed in a single day.
Especially by beginners, is the basket in the image the actual basket we will be making on the workshop?

Normally you need to contact the tutor directly as we are just publicising the workshops. However as I am the tutor I can tell you that these oval trugs use a Catalan style base on preprepared hoops which I find are easier and faster for beginners than other types of oval bases. I have run this workshop many times with beginners and everyone goes home happily with a trug similar to the one shown in the photo.
