Alice Spittle, a Māori contemporary artist

ILLUSTRATED TALK Friday 17th October 7.30 – 9.00 pm
Alice will take us on an illustrated exploration of Māori Tikanga (culture) and the many art forms that inspire her.
Pay what you can, guide price £5.00. Refreshments with home baking

TWO-DAY WEEKEND WORKSHOP Saturday/Sunday 18th /19th October 10.00- 4.00pm

Alice will guide us through the creation of baskets – Kono, Konae, Waikawa, and Kupenga kete using the traditional methods and skills of working with harakeke (New Zealand Flax). All beautiful and useful – a celebration of the interconnectedness of the physical and the spiritual, the tangible and intangible which has existed since the beginning of time.

All materials supplied. Refreshments & home baking provided but bring a potluck lunch to share. £190.00
