Five artists and makers reflect the beauty and variety of the landscape. Kate Sankey is a basket maker & weaver of natural materials; Jessica Langford is an animator & botanical Illustrator; Michael Prince is a photographer ; Gillie Welstead is a jeweller and silversmith, Jill Sives is a printmaker.

In addition Ruth Woods, a basketmaker from Australia, will be at West Moss-side for a couple of days at the beginning of Open Studios week.
She would love to meet other basketmakers – she is currently compiling a new book and is visiting basketmakers all over the UK. She is particularly interested in local fibres and coiling techniques.

She will talk about her book, Finding Form with Fibre (available to buy) as well as explore the opportunities with locally foraged fibres – including from Flanders Moss. Please come and join us on Sunday 20th 11.00am – 4.00pm
