24th & 25th May 2025.

Bolton, Northumberland.

Looping is an ancient basketry technique found throughout the world. It starts with stringmaking, and is similar to knitting, knotting and crochet, but precedes the development of those techniques. It requires a minimum of tools or equipment, is a slow but very satisfying process, and a good way to become familiar with a range of plant fibres.

Join Anna Corbett for this weekend creating soft structures such as a bag, bowl or pouch. We will explore harvesting, processing and preparation of materials which will include rush and an assortment of other plants.

10am to 4pm. Standard rate £175, Low income £155
Please choose your own level of payment according to your income.
