Leen Skinner at Calltainn Croft offers basketry workshops on Mull – she can travel to your local hall, home or holiday accommodation for group bookings, or be based in the Dervaig Community Orchard.

Make a willow Fish. -a fun activity of willow weaving with your family or friends! The workshop is suitable for all ages, making it the perfect activity for parents and children to enjoy together. Children younger than 8 will need an adult to help them create the fish. £40 1.5 hours.

Plank Fruit Basket. Weave your own fruit basket from willow using a plank base. This workshop is a perfect introduction into willow weaving. Using a plank bottom you will stake up, weave the sides, and finish with a neat border. You can leave room for fingerholes or finish straight, entirely up to you! Make something beautiful and useful to take home, while learning some traditional willow weaving techniques! £55. 9.30am to 1pm.

Fat ball Bird Feeder. A bird feeder is a wonderful way to bring wildlife closer to your garden.
It can also be used to hold garlic in your kitchen, or small plants. You will learn some willow techniques like pairing, making a border and inserting a handle. This workshop is perfect for beginners, there is no previous experience needed. A great way to enjoy crafting with natural materials. £40 9.30am to 12.
