Bark, Natural Fibres, Traditional, Willow Basketry

I made my first coiled basket with Jeanette Nowak in Shetland in 2015 and first willow basket in March 2020 with Karen Collins. I have been addicted to weaving ever since. After learning the basics of round willow work thanks to Hanna Van Aelst's online course, I honed her craft with John Cowan in Lanark. For now I am practicing and experimenting with what I know and slowing expanding my skills. Besides working with willow and willow bark, I also enjoy collecting natural fibres and willow bark to make wee baskets and cordage out of them.

I started planting willow in 2020 and have planted more every year since. As of 2023 I grow 60 basketry varieties.
I am always open for swaps or barter, or sell at 50p per cutting.
