14th July, 10th August, 7th September 2024.

Bolton Village Hall, Northumberland.

Three short workshops exploring fibre plants for basketry with Anna Corbett.

Each workshop will focus on plants growing in wild and cultivated habitats such as meadows, ponds and marshes, woodland, hedgerows, gardens and waste land.
Plants could include brambles, nettles, burdock, evening primrose, butterbur, rosebay willowherb, rush, bindweed, iris, crocosmia, dandelion, plantain and others according to the season and availability.
We will find out how to identify, harvest and process different plants, make samples of fibre to take away and investigate how to use them in stringmaking and basketry techniques.

10am to 1pm, cost for each workshop £35 (£25) or book all 3 together for £90 (£60).
