Join Karla Pearce at Bowden Village Hall to make your own small round basket, perfect for the berry picking season. You will learn the basics of round stake and strand basketry, all achievable in one day! This includes:
-how to weave a round base
-how to stake up and wale
-how to French rand up the sides
-how to turn down a simple trac border
-how to insert and peg a handle
how to trim your basket

This weekend workshop will run on Sunday, July 26th from 10:00 am until approximately 5:00 pm. Free parking is available within the village on the same side of the street where the hall is located. Please take care not to block gates and drives. Refreshments will be provided but please bring lunch with you.
All materials are provided. Tools are provided for use through the workshop and some will be available to purchase should you wish to have your own to take home.
